Letter from the MAJO Producer | Recent Version Adjustments and Future Plans
Dear players, hello. I'm the producer of MAJO.
First, thank you to every one of you who has entered the world of MAJO and supported us up to this moment.
Since the game launched, we've received a great deal of feedback and suggestions through the community, store reviews, and customer service forms, including issues related to early-game progression pace, how card pool info is presented, the amount of game content, and the fairness of the gaming environment.
We know that the current experience still has many areas that require improvement, understanding that some players have felt frustrated because of this, and some may even have concerns about the game's future.
The development team has been carefully reading, discussing, and organizing all of this feedback point by point. We don't want to simply brush this off with a line like "things will improve in the future." Instead, we want to use this letter to explain the adjustments we've already decided on, as well as our development plans for MAJO's first season.
[Preview of the September 9th Update]
This update isn't just another round of events. It also marks an important starting point for officially expanding MAJO's core gameplay.
We'll be adding a variety of brand-new content, including:
・ Floating Law system unlock
・ A brand-new PvP game mode
・ Character-exclusive events and story content
・ The latest main story developments and worldbuilding
・ More challenges and rewards released alongside the season
With this update, we hope players will not only be able to develop characters and progress through the main story, but also enjoy more diverse team compositions, growth goals, and long-term content.
Also, MAJO's gameplay and story will gradually move into their next stage with the above-mentioned content rolling out. More details and the release schedule will be revealed in the upcoming overview of the September 9 update's main content. We invite players to keep following the community for the latest news.
[Card Pool Info and UI Optimization]
Currently, the Card Pool interface doesn't clearly convey the rules and pull progress, including the Pity System, the accumulated Contact count, and the relationship between different Card Pools, all of which can make it difficult for players to understand the mechanics more smoothly.
We recognize this is something we need to improve.
In the update planned for September 9, we'll optimize the Card Pool interface and how information is displayed, so players can more clearly confirm the following:
・ The current accumulated Contact count
・ The remaining Contacts needed to trigger the Pity System
・ The Pity System rules and related details for each Card Pool
・ The mechanics and scope that apply to each type of Card Pool
We want players to clearly understand the rules and keep track of their own progress before every Contact, so they can make more informed choices.
The full details of how carryover will work and the eligibility conditions will be announced separately before the update goes live.
[Regarding Cheating and Hacked Accounts]
A fair gaming environment is a basic right that every legitimate player deserves.
This is why we have further strengthened our automatic verification and detection systems for anomalous behaviour. Any account confirmed through system detection and review to be using cheats, scripts, or other unauthorized programs will be banned according to the severity of the violation.
Detection and enforcement will continue on an ongoing basis, not just as a one-time sweep. We will also continue adjusting our verification systems to minimize the impact of cheating on the leaderboards, competitive gameplay, and the overall game environment.
We'd also like to specifically remind all players: please do not purchase or take over accounts from unknown sources.
Even if an account can currently log in normally, but has any record of using cheats, scripts, or other violations, it may still be banned in the future. To protect your own rights, please create and use your own game account through legitimate means.
[Improving Early-Game Combat Power and Progression Bottlenecks]
MAJO's core design philosophy is to ensure that players who log in every day can steadily earn growth resources and pull opportunities, gradually increasing their team's power. We want every player, regardless of how much they invest, to be able to develop their characters over time and experience MAJO's main content simply by playing consistently.
That said, we've indeed received a lot of feedback from players noting that, in certain early-game stages, power requirements rise fairly quickly, while the available growth resources and gameplay options aren't enough to keep up, leading to noticeable growth bottlenecks in a short amount of time.
As a result, we'll be making gradual improvements in several areas:
・ Adding more early-game stages that can be played and replayed
・ Adjusting how certain growth resources are obtained and distributed
・ Providing clearer and more stable paths for character development
・ Reducing the frustration players feel when they hit a progression wall
The first round of adjustments is planned to launch on August 26. At that time, new stages will be added to the early game where players can freely obtain character fragments, helping them speed up character development and overall team power.
We'll continue monitoring actual gameplay data and player feedback, and gradually refine methods for resource acquisition, stage difficulty, and the overall experience regarding progression.
[What's Next for MAJO]
We know that players' confidence in the game won't be restored just because of a single letter. It's something the team needs to rebuild gradually, through real updates and improvements, one step at a time.
MAJO is still in a stage of continuous growth.
The September 9 update will be an important starting point for us to expand gameplay, advance the storyline, and refine the core experience. We'll continue listening to player feedback, and we'll be clearer about explaining the issues we're working on, the updates we've confirmed, and our future direction. We sincerely invite everyone to follow our official Facebook page or Discord community to be the first to know when the September 9 update overview goes live!
Thank you to every player who has taken the time to share their constructive criticism and suggestions, and thank you to everyone who continues to stand by MAJO.
We look forward to welcoming the next chapter of MAJO's story together with all of you in future updates.
Sincerely and respectfully,
MAJO Producer and Development Team
